Appointment to Chief Officer Posts - People Directorate

This is a fair summary of the proceedings and there are no exempt minutes.

 

At a meeting on 14 December 2020 the Panel had approved the creation of three new Assistant Director posts in the People Directorate.  The recruitment to the posts had been paused during the covid pandemic due to exceptional pressures.  The recruitment process for two posts had begun as these pressures eased post pandemic – the AD for People Commissioning and AD for Adult Social Care.  The third post, AD for Service Development, would be recruited to at a later date once the proposals for the Integrated Care System were more developed.

 

The two AD posts had been advertised nationally and applications had been shortlisted in accordance with the process previously agreed by the Panel. The Panel conducted interviews with the shortlisted candidates for each post and

 

RESOLVED:

 

(a)  That the post of Assistant Director for People Commissioning be offered to Rebecca Wassell, subject to formal written offer;

 

(b)  That the post of Assistant Director for Adult Social Care be offered to Kerry McCrossan, subject to formal written offer; and

 

(c)  The Strategic Director for People be authorised, in consultation with the Cabinet member for Adult Social Care, to settle the detailed terms of the contract for the successful applicants.
