The Panel will be asked to exclude the press and public from the meeting for the following item as it is likely that exempt information relating to any individual will be disclosed and the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosure.

This is a fair summary of the proceedings and there are no exempt minutes.

The Panel considered a request for voluntary redundancy from the Assistant Director for Adult Social Care.  The request was supported by the Strategic Director for People and the Cabinet member with responsibility due to expected changes in the People Directorate.

RESOLVED: that

(a) the Voluntary Redundancy request from the Assistant Director for Adult Social Care be accepted;

(b)  the Strategic Director for People be delegated authority to dismiss the Assistant Director for Adult Social Care by reason of redundancy with effect from 31 December 2020;

(c)  the financial implications of the proposed redundancy be noted and the Strategic Director for People be authorised to conclude the appropriate terms; and

(d)  the Strategic Director for People be authorised to recruit interim expertise in Adult Social Care Commissioning until the proposal for future changes for Chief Officer posts is bought back to this Panel.
